Routine Dental Cleanings

Instead of visiting the dentist only when you experience discomfort, it’s imperative to your oral health to schedule routine dental cleanings. If you rarely visit the dentist, you’re just waiting for something to go wrong. Then, when you finally see your dentist, you’ll need a larger procedure to get your smile back on track.

When you visit us, we’ll start off by asking about your oral health history. Then, we’ll get to work by cleaning your teeth. We use only the most advanced tools to ensure a comfortable and effective dental cleaning.

Next, we always make sure that your gums are as clean as your smile. Since everyone has some level of bacteria in their gums, all of our patients are prone to gum disease. However, with routine six-month cleanings, we can mitigate gum disease at the beginning.

Regular Dental Exams

Every time you visit us, we’ll examine your smile for cavities and gum disease. During this assessment, we’ll see any small cavities or inflammation forming before you even feel discomfort in your smile. Since we can catch cavities and bad bacteria early on, we can fill cavities and clean your gums without relying on larger procedures.

Additionally, we perform extra examinations for every new patient and then annually going forward. Our x-ray technology scans for weak spots in your smile as well as tooth misalignment. With these extra precautions in place, we can determine if you have small cavities, TMJ, or other oral health issues.

Sedation Dentistry

We know that most people don’t love the dentist’s office as much as we do. That’s why we’re happy to provide sedation dentistry to our more hesitant patients. We offer both IV and oral sedation, with different sedative levels based on your needs.

If you have anxiety about visiting our office, give us a call at (907) 277-1098 to talk about sedation dentistry. Since we care about you and your smile, we want to provide the best dental experience for you.

Oral Hygiene at Home

In order to keep your smile beautiful in between dental visits, make sure to keep up with your oral hygiene at home. For a dazzling smile, remember to brush your teeth twice a day for about two minutes at a time. If you eat anything extremely chewy or sugary, enhance your oral routine by brushing your teeth after consumption.

Flossing is also necessary to keep your smile healthy. In between visits, bacteria can build up in the small cracks and crevices between your teeth. To mitigate the negative effects, floss your teeth at least once a day. When flossing, move the floss up and down each tooth to remove any pieces of food or bacteria.
