HAS IT BEEN A WHILE since your last cleaning appointment? If so, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to schedule your next one, so here are a few tips on what you can do to prepare!

Get Your Smile Ready

Whatever your regular routine has been, do your best to not make any changes right before your visit. It will help us know how your routine home-care is working.

Remember there is more to taking care of our oral health than brushing and flossing. Dentistry is quickly learning the connection between a bad bite and our dental health. We now know that losing teeth and periodontal disease is often linked to clenching and grinding as much as brushing and flossing.

Housekeeping Items

If you have had any changes in your health since we saw you last, be sure to let us know (think procedures or medications.) Have you had any changes to your dental insurance? Bring your new card, if so.

If you have any appliances you’d like us to check, remember to bring them (think orthotics, nightguards, and dentures).

Do you need to take pre-medication before dental appointments?

Also, don’t forget to take your blood pressure medication on the day of your appointment, too. High blood pressure is one of the most common reasons we have to reschedule an appointment after a patient already arrives. We can’t wait to see you!

If you have any other questions about what to do before your appointment, just give us a call! We want all our patients to feel comfortable and confident in our practice.
