If you choose in-office whitening, then Dr. Crosby will carefully prepare your mouth and gums before applying a layer of advanced whitening gel to your teeth. Then, we’ll enhance your whitening process by shining an LED light on your teeth.
Dr. Crosby will repeat the steps of applying gel and using the LED light three times or until you reach your desired shade. After your treatment, we will apply a soothing gel to reduce any post-treatment sensitivity and protect your enamel.
At-Home Professional Tooth Whitening
If you prefer the comfort of your own house rather than a dental chair, we can send you home with a professional tooth whitening kit. At home, you will wear trays with whitening gel once a day for two weeks.
First, you will add a drop of prescription gel to your whitening trays. Next, you will carefully place your trays on your teeth for the amount of time Dr. Crosby prescribed, which is usually about 30 to 90 minutes. After you take your trays out and rinse them with cold water, you must brush your teeth for any remaining residue.
