Dr. Richard Crosby

By the time Wendy came to see us, she was dealing with multiple issues related to her dental health, each of which significantly impacted her quality of life. She felt self-conscious about her discolored, crooked teeth and mismatched old dental work, causing her to hide her smile. Additionally, Wendy was experiencing various symptoms of Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMD), including tension headaches, ringing in her ears, clenching and grinding of teeth, neck and shoulder pain, jaw joint popping and clicking, vertigo, gum recession, and cracked teeth. Luckily, our office was able to put together a treatment plan that addressed Wendy’s concerns and gave her the smile she’d always wanted.

Advanced Treatment Plan

Dr. Crosby developed a comprehensive treatment plan to address Wendy’s unique needs. The journey started with using K7 and TENS technology to determine Wendy’s new occlusion and implement neuromuscular orthotic therapy to treat her TMD symptoms and correct her bite. Digital impressions were taken with PrimeScan, and the CEREC system was used to fabricate precise porcelain bridges, crowns, and veneers. To ensure Wendy’s comfort and alleviate anxiety during procedures, IV sedation was provided.

The advanced technology used in Wendy’s treatment played a crucial role in achieving successful results. The K7 and TENS systems were essential for diagnosing and treating Wendy’s TMD by establishing a proper occlusion. PrimeScan enabled accurate digital impressions, ensuring the restorative work fit perfectly, while the CEREC system allowed for the on-site creation of  high-quality porcelain restorations, reducing the number of visits needed.

Astounding Results

Wendy’s treatment led to a remarkable transformation. She underwent full mouth reconstruction, including porcelain veneers, TMJ therapy, bite correction, and a complete smile makeover. After the treatment, Wendy’s life significantly improved. She no longer experiences the debilitating symptoms of TMD and is now eager to smile at every opportunity, feeling more confident and happy.

Reflecting on her experience, Wendy shared, “I want to smile all the time now and feel more confident.” Her words highlight the profound impact of personalized, technologically advanced dental care on a patient’s life. At Dr. Richard Crosby’s practice, we’re committed to transforming smiles and enhancing lives, just as we did for Wendy.
